Treatment
Doctors may suggest their patients to use cortisone ointment topically over the affected skin area. However, if you have been using it for quite a long period of time, it is necessary that you should go for a dermatologic examination. Do not use it excessively. In most of the cases, you need to use it once daily and you may not receive any better result even if you use it for more than once.
It is essential that you keep your skin area moisturized. Wash the affected area with the help of lukewarm water. Do not use too cold or too hot water. It increases the risk for getting the skin drier. Use cotton clothes as and whenever possible. Avoid using fabric softener. Or else, the ingredients of this chemical can aggravate the condition.
