Eczema Skin Symptoms

Eczema can happen to anyone, no matter how old are you, but it can happen to you at any time. It may be quite possible that you enjoy a blemish-free skin for quite a long period of time in your life and then suddenly eczema flares-up. Atopic eczema, the most common form of eczema, attacks even children and the prevalence rate is quite significant (about 1 out of 9 children). However, in most of the cases, the condition overgrows and the child experiences a blemish-free skin before he or she completes his or her teenage.

The major eczema skin symptoms are itchy, reddish, inflamed and scaly skin. If you are suffering from moderate to severe level of eczema, your skin may appear swollen and raw. You may also experience bleeding, crusting and scaling in the affected area. Excessive dryness can agitate the condition further, and you feel like scratching always. Nonetheless to say, scratching can not solve your problem, rather it will make you feel even itchier than before. Your eczema skin symptoms get worsened when you scratch the area.

Children having eczema skin symptoms are prone to experience other forms of allergy related disorders. These disorders may include dust allergy, asthma, food allergies or hay fever. Those who experienced eczema skin symptoms during their childhood may experience a dry skin throughout their lives. In most of the cases, faces are the most affected regions for eczema skin symptoms. In fact, these symptoms can be considered as an onset point and then this condition spreads in the other parts of the body.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for eczema skin symptoms. However, doctors prescribe topical steroid cream / gel to use over the affected region. In addition, some medicines like antibiotics are also suggested to get a relief from itching sensation.
